Since its launch, visitors to the "Akwan" festival held on the shore of Jazan City for Primary and Downstream Industries have exceeded the barrier of 40,000 visitors from inside and outside the Jazan region.
The activities of the festival, which represents the participation of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu in this year’s “Most Beautiful and Warmest” Jazan winter, were varied to suit all family members, and included many recreational and marine games, activities for children, a water park, a cinema on the beach, and luxury sessions and huts with a stunning sea view, in addition to... There were pavilions for government agencies participating in the festival, and participation from productive families. The events also included “flyboard” shows, which start at 10 am and continue until 6 pm every day.
The festival, which lasts for three months, comes as part of the Authority’s efforts to provide investment infrastructure and contribute to the development of the region in various fields, especially tourism, agriculture and fisheries, and to make it a logistics region due to its location close to one of the most important sea lanes through which world trade passes.
The Corniche attracts many visitors due to its distinctive design with squares, green surfaces, sports fields, youth sessions, family sessions, and support services, which confirms its importance as one of the best tourist sites in Jazan, which gives its visitors comfort and enjoyment to spend the best times.
